30 Years HIRSCH Porozell in Hungary

The opening of the Sárvár plant in 1996 marked the beginning of the HIRSCH Servo Group’s international expansion. Three decades later, HIRSCH Porozell operates three production sites in Hungary — and Sárvár has become one of the most technologically versatile plants across the entire group.

A step across the border

When HIRSCH commissioned its first production site outside the headquarters in Glanegg in 1996, it was more than a geographical expansion. It was the decision to serve customers through presence rather than distance — a principle that continues to shape the group’s development today. Hungary was where that strategy began. Rising demand in the Hungarian market led to the opening of two further plants in Jászfényszaru and Nyíregyháza in 2002. Both sites were deliberately located close to strategic partners, enabling cost-efficient delivery to almost the entire country to this day.

Technical capability at the highest level

The Sárvár site has developed continuously over the years. It processes EPS, EPP and EPE as well as hybrid materials such as Piocelan and Arcel — for packaging solutions and for technical moulded parts integrated directly into customer products. Production is certified to the latest applicable standards. “Sárvár is our most technologically advanced site today. That is no coincidence — it is the result of 30 years of continuous investment and of the people who built this location. The expertise developed there benefits the entire group,” adds Wolfgang Landler, Executive Board, HIRSCH Servo Group.

We thank our teams in Sárvár, Jászfényszaru and Nyíregyháza for their commitment over three decades, and our customers and partners for their trust. Together, we continue to develop solutions that protect, insulate and perform.
