Sustainable recycling of EPS
Sustainable recycling of EPS has been a top priority for us for three decades. Since 1992 we have been producing the 100% recycled Thermozell thermal insulation lightweight concrete and thanks to our own EPS recycling plant, we produce new EPS packaging or EPS insulation materials from used EPS molded parts.
Circular economy
As a partner in various projects, we conduct research together with international companies and associations on the recycling of used EPS in a closed cycle. The goal is clear: to recycle used resources and keep them in the production.
Molded pulp
With packaging made from recycled paper or renewable fibers, we offer a further environmentally friendly alternative to EPS products. The end result is fully recyclable and biodegradable.
It's that simple
1. Collect EPS
Collect clean packaging or construction EPS (produced as of 2016) and place in the free HIRSCH:REuse bags.
2. Transport to HIRSCH
We regularly pick up the filled HIRSCH:REuse bags by appointment and bring them to our plant in Glanegg free of charge.
3. Recycle and reuse EPS
We recycle the EPS and give the valuable raw material a new new life as an efficient HIRSCH insulation product.
